Sara Integrates Securely with Outlook | Outlook to Sara Sync (OSS)

Agencies can now connect their Outlook to Sara Client Communication Software to easily set automations, manage appointments, and more

Most agency staff are dependent on MS Outlook Calendar for their daily operations. However, there is a lot of things Sara’s calendar can do that Outlook cannot, including:

  • Use autofill message templates (agency-wide as well as user generated)
  • Send appointment and event notifications via email AND SMS
  • Send appointment reminders 1-3 days before appointment using email and/or SMS
  • Allow clients to reschedule appointment automatically based on user’s availability
  • Schedule built-in video appointments (ODIN) with autogenerated user and client links to the video room
  • Automatically create a case note for the appointment when generated
  • Automatically request for user appointment status and case note if not completed within 24 hours of past due date/time
  • Extensive, real-time reporting of appointment activity, types, and statuses by agency, office, and user with timeframes.

Many of our customers have asked if it is possible to integrate Outlook. It certainly is, but because of how Outlook is fielded, classic integration cause potential security issues. SaraWorks has solved the security issue so agencies can now get the best of both Outlook and Sara without having to worry about the security problem. It is called OSS (Outlook to Sara Sync). The sync process uses oAuth for user-by-user login and authorization against the agency’s O365 environment, and agencies can choose from several levels of synching from a simple “Busy” indicator in the Sara calendar to full two-way integration with descriptions and names (or anything in-between).
